RECAP/PHOTOS: 2026 Spring Sizzler Season-Opener At County Line Raceway

ELM CITY, NC – County Line Raceway hosted the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series, Mid-East 602 Modified, Sport Compact UCARs and Rookie 4 Cylinders in its season-opener on Saturday.

In the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series 40-lap feature, it was Beaverdam, Virginia’s Russell Erwin winning the race and collecting the $5,000 purse. Dustin Mitchell finished second, followed by Ben Watkins, Matthew Bissette and Jeff Parsons.

Adam Favors of Mt. Ulla, North Carolina won the 25-lap Mid-East 602 Modified feature. Rounding out the top-five was Stephen Pedulla, Ty Norder, Ethan Wilson and Austin Holcombe.

In the 15-lap Bryant’s All Around Service Sport Compact UCAR feature, Stokesdale, North Carolina’s Tyler Hopkins took the checkered flag. Michael Wallace crossed the line in second. Dustin O’Neal finished third. Richard Taylor finished fourth and Gerald Lutz finished fifth.

Brody Hannah of Wilson, North Carolina won the Carolina Restoration & Custom Build Rookie C feature. Completing the top-five was Walter Haggans, Brandon Fountain, Jacob Tollie and Carter O’Neal.
