
Ryan Blaney To Start From Rear Of Cook Out Southern 500 At Darlington Raceway
by Hunter Thomas September 6, 2020 0 commentsDARLINGTON, S.C. – NASCAR Playoff contender, Ryan Blaney will start from the rear of today’s NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway due to improperly mounted ballast.
Blaney was slated to start from the seventh position tonight in the Team Penske No. 12 Menards/Maytag Ford; however, due to the penalty, he will lose his starting position and move to the rear of the field.
As a result of the penalty, his crew chief, Todd Gordon has been suspended for today’s race. The team will also lose 10 driver and owner points.
The Cook Out Southern 500 will broadcast live on NBCSN and MRN at 6 p.m. ET today.
