by Hunter Thomas May 16, 2025 0 commentsNORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. – Kaden Honeycutt dominated from the pole to win the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Thursday night.
It was just last year when Honeycutt won at the finale at the track, earning the series championship as well. The victory comes in his second start of the season in the zMAX CARS Pro Late Model Tour. Honeycutt has two starts and a top-five in the Late Model Stock division this year. He will compete in Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Window World 250 as well.
On the final lap of Thursday’s race, Dawson Sutton had reached Honeycutt, but he was unable to make his way by. Keelan Harvick, son of former NASCAR driver, Kevin Harvick finished third. Rounding out the top-five was Spencer Davis and NASCAR Cup Series driver Josh Berry. Tristan McKee finished sixth, followed Luke Baldwin, Conner Jones, Ben Maier and Brandon Lopez.
The caution flag flew early. In fact, the field couldn’t make it to Turn 1 on the initial start before drivers piled up on the frontstretch; however, the caution only came out twice more throughout the race. The final restart of the night came on Lap 26.
Up next on the schedule for the zMAX CARS Pro Late Model Tour is a visit to Dominion Raceway in Woodford, Va. on Saturday, June 14. The green flag will wave at 5 p.m. ET.
