DILLON, S.C. – The 2023 edition of the New Year’s BASH at Dillon Motor Speedway certainly didn’t lack any action.

Massachusetts’ Tommy O’Sullivan bumped Josh Way out of the way on the final lap to win his first-ever New Year’s BASH Street Stock Nationals event. O’Sullivan didn’t qualify inside of the top-20, so he had to race his way in through the B-Main, and he did so by winning. During the main event, he overcame adversity to become only the second driver (joining Wisconsin’s James Swan) to outrun the Mid-Atlantic Street Stock regulars.

On Saturday night, Greg Peterson won the Challenger feature, and Josh Speas moved Carson Haislip to win the Legends feature.

Prior to the 100-lap Street Stock Nationals event on Sunday, Robert Strmiska held on to win the Mini Stock feature after an intense battle with Mini Stock veterans, BJ Thrasher, AJ Sanders and Chuck Wall.

Joshua Hopkins took the checkered flag in the Legends B-Main event to finish off the weekend.

Below are photos that Hunter Thomas captured throughout the Street Stock Nationals B-Main and A-Main, as well as the 60-lap Mini Stock feature.
