VIDEO: Chase Elliott Believes No Playoff Bubble Driver Is Safe In Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Heading into Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, there are 12 drivers battling to earn a spot in the Round of 12 of the NASCAR Playoffs. Chase Elliott believes that no driver above the cutline is comfortably locked into the next round.

William Byron, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano are all locked in; however, from fifth on back, it’s going to be an all-out fight. Ryan Blaney is 36 points to the good, followed by Alex Bowman (+30), Chase Elliott (+28), Kyle Larson (+27), Ross Chastain (+26), Daniel Suarez (+6), Tyler Reddick (+2) and Austin Cindric (+2).

With the exception of Chase Briscoe who only has one NASCAR Cup Series start (14th, 2021) on the concrete configuration at Bristol, the drivers who are below the cutline typically run well at Bristol Below the cutline is Kyle Busch (-2), Austin Dillon (-3), Chase Briscoe (-9) and Kevin Harvick (-35).
