MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Myrtle Beach Speedway hosted its annual Spring Fling on Saturday, featuring NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Models, Super Trucks, Chargers and Vintage Cars.

Jeremy McDowell won the first 40-lap Late Model race to kickoff Saturday’s event. He took over the lead away from Nick Sanchez on a lap 19 restart and never looked back. Defending track champion, Justin Milliken finished second, followed by Sanchez, Tommy Lemons Jr. and Sam Yarbrough.

Clifton Black won the Charger feature. Kevin Barnhill was the runner-up, followed by Brian Owens, Ryan Walsh and Chris Grainger.

The Super Truck feature featured plenty of action, including a lengthy red flag after multiple trucks crashed out of Turn 4 just prior to the halfway mark. BJ Mackey took the checkered flag. Lucase Williams, Adam McCumbee, Sean Gartner and Strom Altman rounded out the top-five.

Brian Vause dominated to win the second 40-lap Late Model race. Sanchez was making ground on Vause, but he ran out of time and finished second. Lemons finished third. Yarbrough and Milliken finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Up next on the schedule for Myrtle Beach Speedway is the Performance Plus 300 on Saturday, March 16. Competing will be the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model Series, Chargers, Mini Stocks and Street Stocks.
