RECAP/PHOTOS: 4th Annual Danny Garrett Memorial Night At Potomac Speedway
by Hunter Thomas April 24, 2026 0 commentsMECHANICSVILLE, MD – Potomac Speedway hosted the 4th Annual Danny Garrett Memorial Night on Saturday, April 18, featuring the Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Strictly Stocks and UCARs.
Kyle Lee of Mercersburg, Pa. held off Maryland’s Ed Pope III to win the Limited Late Model feature. Jeff King finished third, followed by Scooter Tippett and Daniel Garrett. The race was a wild one as half the field didn’t make it to the finish.
In Street Stocks, local racer PJ Hatcher started on the outside pole and outran Baltimore’s Kyle Randall to win. Polesitter Bobby Meixsell, Wyatt Hanson and Clavin “Duece” Wright II rounded out the top-five.
Local racer Justin Hatcher won the Hobby Stock feature. Completing the top-five was Trent Clemens, Richie Gibson, Rusty Alton and James Rainey Jr.
Nabil Guffey from Charlotte Hall, MD won in Strictly Stocks. Mason Foster battled his way from eighth to finish runner-up. Will Mayhew went from 10th to complete the top-three. Shawn Howsare and Sarah Culver finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Fort Belvoir, Virginia’s Adam Suda captured the checkered flag in UCAR. Thomas Windsor finished second. Nikolas Weber, Travis Dye and Ben Pirner completed the top-five.
