PHOTOS: 2023 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150 At Richmond Raceway

RICHMOND, Va. – Austin Beers became a first-time winner in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on Saturday after holding on to win the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 150 at Richmond Raceway.

Beers, a 20-year-old native of Northampton, Pennsylvania, captured the victory in only his 22nd tour start, and he did so in dominating fashion, leading 102 of the 150 laps.

J.B. Fortin finished runner-up, followed by Max McLaughlin, Justin Bonsignore, and Patrick Emerling. NASCAR Cup Series 2000 champion, Bobby Labonte finished six. Rounding out the top-10 was Ron Silk, Bryan Narducci, John McKennedy and Eric Goodale.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will visit Monadnock Speedway for the Duel at the Dog 200 on Saturday, May 6.
