TALLADEGA, Ala. – Today’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series 1000Bulbs.com 500 at Talladega Superspeedway has been postponed due to inclement weather. It will resume tomorrow, Monday, October 14, at 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET) on NBCSN.

The event was called after 57 laps of the scheduled 188-lap event due to light rain with William Byron in the lead after winning the race’s first stage, holding off Joey Logano. Pole sitter Chase Elliott wound up 18th after stage one.

Talladega Superspeedway gates will open Monday morning at 11 a.m. All parking lots will open at 7 a.m., with Tram Services beginning at 9 a.m. The all-new Talladega Garage Experience, which allows the fans to be immersed into the sport like never before, opens at 10 a.m.

International Speedway Corporation’s (ISC, parent company of Talladega Superspeedway) Weather Protection Program applies to grandstand or tower tickets for any Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event at Talladega Superspeedway that is postponed and rescheduled to a different date due to inclement weather.

Since the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series 1000Bulbs.com 500 did not reach the halfway point (and is not yet an official event), fan(s) may exchange today’s grandstand or tower ticket(s) for a future NASCAR race at an ISC property. Unused grandstand or tower tickets may be exchanged for a same-series grandstand ticket of equal or lesser value on a ticket-by-ticket basis. Event and seating location availability at the time of redemption may vary. To inquire about eligibility and exchanging your ticket, please visit here and complete the website request form. The account holder has 60 days to complete the form.

Once the form is submitted, a ticket agent will contact you to complete the exchange process for a regular grandstand ticket for a future NASCAR event at any of the 12 ISC venues. A ticket agent will contact you as soon as possible with consideration for the new event date you have requested.

Eligible regular grandstand tickets may be exchanged for any future ISC Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race within one (1) year of today’s event, excluding the Daytona 500. Only current Daytona 500 tickets can be redeemed for the next year’s Daytona 500. If eligible regular grandstand tickets are not redeemed during the allotted time frame set forth, the exchange opportunity will expire.

About Talladega Superspeedway
Talladega Superspeedway – which will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year – is the most competitive race track on the NASCAR schedule (record 88 lead changes in 188 laps), the highest-banked (33 degrees) and the longest (2.66 miles) as well as the most fun and fan-friendly. Talladega offers something for everyone, including hundreds of acres of free camping, amazing kids tickets and college student prices, along with special offers for military members, first responders, teachers and educators. The historic venue, which opened in 1969, is deemed NASCAR’s “Party Capital” thanks to the track’s infamous infield, the traditional Saturday Night Infield Concert on event weekends and renowned Talladega Blvd., home of the “Big One on the Blvd.” party. It’s the site of the most comfortable seats in motorsports, large ISM Vision HD video boards lining the frontstretch and numerous pre-race activities for fans on race day, including special Kids VIP opportunities. For ticket information, visit www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or call 855-518-RACE (7223).

The track, along with its parent company, International Speedway Corporation, announced last year Transformation – The Talladega Superspeedway Infield Project presented by Graybar. The approximate $50 million redevelopment endeavor is part of ISC’s long-term capital allocation plan and reinvestment into its major motorsports complexes. The project, highlighted by a one-of-a-kind Talladega Garage Experience, will feature “up-close” access, interactive attractions and enhanced amenities for fans, sponsors, teams and stakeholders in the iconic Talladega infield. Full completion of the modernized project is scheduled for October 2019. Fans can learn more about the project and view the progress 24/7 via the construction cam by visiting  www.talladegasuperspeedway.com/transformation.
