DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – While talking with the media on Wednesday at Daytona 500 Media Day, Dale Earnhardt Jr. said that he was excited about returning to the track.

Earnhardt Jr. has been sidelined since July of 2016, due to suffering from concussion-like symptoms. Sunday’s 59th running of the Daytona 500 will mark Earnhardt Jr.’s return to Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition.
