Charlotte Motor Speedway Gearing Up For NASCAR Doubleheader Sunday

CONCORD, NC – Due to the inclement weather from Hurricane Isaias, Charlotte Motor Speedway will now host the NASCAR Cup Series Bank of America 400 and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Blue Cross NC 300 on Sunday in a thrilling doubleheader.

As of this moment, all activities originally scheduled for Sunday are still on-schedule, but the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race will now run at 8 p.m. (CW Network), following conclusion of the NASCAR Cup Series Chase race that will get underway at 3 p.m. (USA). Below is the schedule for Sunday:

  • 8 a.m. – Parking Lots Open
  • 9 a.m. – Fan Zone Opens
  • 11 a.m. – Tim Dugger Concert
  • 12 p.m. – Suites and Ticket Gates Open | Trackside Live and Fan Track Access Begin
  • 1 p.m. – Tyler Hubbard Concert
  • 2:35 p.m. – NASCAR Cup Series Driver Introductions
  • 3 p.m. – NASCAR Cup Series Bank of America 400
  • 8 p.m. – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Blue Cross NC 300

Fans who have tickets to the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will race will be allowed into the grandstands following the conclusion of the Bank of America 400; however, that race is also eligible for a credit if a fan is unable to attend. As for Bank of America 400 ticket holders, they can stay for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, but they won’t have first priority of reserved seating and must sit in open seating.
