RECAP/PHOTOS: 2026 Local Season-Opener At Southern National Motorsports Park

LUCAMA, NC – Southern National Motorsports Park hosted its season-opener for its local divisions on Sunday, March 1.

Rusty Daniels led all but 11 laps to win the KONI Charger feature. He entered the race coming off a season that saw him visit Victory Lane on four occasions. He held off Brandon Clements for the victory. Justin Mitchell finished third, followed by J.D. Eversole, Aiden McConnaughey, Matt Morgan, Trey Burke, Jackson Sparks, Gerald Benton and Louis White.

A.J. Sanders held off Robert Arch to win the Mini Stock feature. Rounding out the top-five was Jason Garwood, Duane Walker and Daniel Bentley.

In the Any Car feature, it was Andrew Watson taking the checkered flag. Michael Sliger finished second, while James Barbour, Ryan Bingham and Doug Smoot completed the top-five.

Dennis Werner won the Vintage feature. Kevin Floars finished second, followed by Billy Ray Lucas, Barry Dalton and Joe Seegar.
