PHOTOS: 2024 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour And Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup At Martinsville Speedway
by racerx55 October 29, 2024 0 commentsMARTINSVILLE, Va. – For the first time ever, Martinsville Speedway hosted a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup doubleheader.
In the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour feature, Justin Bonsignore held off Matt Hirschman to win the 200-lap race. With the victory, Bonsignore won his fourth career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship.
Jacob Lutz finished third, followed by Austin Beers and former NASCAR Cup Series driver, Ryan Newman.
The Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin visited Martinsville Speedway for the first time. After an intense battle, Jared Thomas captured the checkered flag and took home $25,000 and the famous Martinsville Grandfather Clock.
Westin Workman finished second, and rounding out the top-five was Landen Lewis, Tom Long and Capers Zentmeyer.
