Jett Lawrence kicked off the 2024 SMX World Championship Finals by winning overall in North Carolina. He entered the weekend as the defending SMX champion. Eli Tomac won the first 450SMX moto; however, it was Lawrence who came out on top in the second moto.
In 450SMX, Chase Sexton leads Jett Lawrence in the standings by a mere four points, followed by Hunter Lawrence who trails by five points. Tomac is fourth 12 points behind and Justin Cooper is fifth 13 points back.
Haiden Deegan won both motos to earn the top spot in 250SMX. Deegan hard to work hard for his two victories, though, as he started mid-pack in both motos. For those who are not familiar with SMX, Deegan is the brother of NASCAR driver, Hailie Deegan and the son of rallycross legend, Brian Deegan.
Deegan leads the 250SMX standings by eight points over Levi Kitchen. Tom Vaille (-13), Jo Shimoda (-14), and Julien Beaumer (-15) round out the top-five.
