FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Jeff Parsons took the victory in Mid-East Modified Tour action, and Ryan Shabram and Eddie Daniels won the Legends features in an action-packed Aug. 3 program at Fayetteville Motor Speedway.

Parsons started 11th in the first visit to the track by the Sheetz Mid-East Modified Tour, but worked his way to the front to take the checkered flag and $750 payoff. Chris Stowe, who rolled off from the 12th position, earned the runner-up spot, 2.173 seconds behind Parsons, and Justin Blevins grabbed third. The tour will return to the 4/10ths-mile dirt oval Sept. 28 for its playoff opener.

In the first of two features for the Legends competitors, Shabram won from the second starting spot. He beat Eddie Daniels to the checkered flag by 2.294 seconds, and pole winner Tristen Stephenson claimed third.

Daniels captured the back half of the Legends twinbill after starting 10th. Sixth-starting Tim Neighbors came home second, just half a second off the winner’s pace, and Daniel Ridenhour finished third.

Gray’s Creek’s Shaun Harrell was untouchable in Late Model action, outrunning fifth-starting Christian Thomas and third-place finisher Brian Strickland.

Thomas was victorious in the Diet Mountain Dew Modified feature. David Taylor came from a starting spot at the back of the field to earn a runner-up showing, and Ryan Toole finished third.

Rick Razillard won Renegades by more than a second, with Tom Lovett in the runner-up position and Jimmy Capps placing third.

David Royal survived a stern test from Ron Pope to capture the 20-lap Sportsman feature, winning by just 3/10ths of a second. Pole winner Benji Thompson took third.

Kyle Jenks won the Stingerz feature over Shannon Weaver and Tonya Jordan.

Super Late Model action returns to Fayetteville Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 10, with a $4,000-to-win Carolina Clash tour event. It will mark the second visit of the season to FMS by the series; Brett Hamm of Newberry, S.C., took a $10,000 victory March 30 in the Ed Gibbons Memorial.
