RICHMOND, Va. – Cole Custer capitalized on a late-race restart to win the ToyotaCare 250 and the $100,000 Xfinity Dash 4 Cash at Richmond Raceway on Friday night.

Custer, driver of the Stewart-Haas Racing No. 00 Haas Automation Ford took the lead away from Justin Allgaier on lap 140, just prior to the final caution of the night. On the restart, Custer took off to claim his second victory of the season.

“Yeah, we have always had speed everywhere we have gone so far,” Custer said. “I think we get better as the race goes on and we make adjustments and then when we come back to some of these tracks a second time we will be even better. We have the speed right now and I think we can get even better but we are definitely doing things right at this moment.”

As for winning the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash bonus, this is the first time that Custer has been able to achieve the feat.

“I wish I could say that I had something to put it towards that is cooler than a townhouse,” Custer said about winning the $100,000 bonus. “It is good. I have never won one before so it is a really cool thing that Xfinity does. It is one of the coolest things that we do in this sport, to be able to race for 100-grand. That is huge for all our teams and the drivers. I don’t know exactly what I am going to do with it yet, but we will figure it out.”

Austin Cindric crossed the finish line in second on Friday night, his best effort of the 2019 season.

“It is great to get LTi Printing a great finish here at Richmond and be able to capitalize on what was a better short run car tonight,” Cindric said. “I have kind of had all spectrums all three of my races here. We will come back here in the playoffs for an important race in the first round with a good notebook.”

Justin Allgaier finished third after he led a race high of 86 laps in the JR Motorsports No. 7 Brandt Professional Agriculture Chevrolet. Tyler Reddick and Ryan Sieg rounded out the top-five.

Completing the top-10 was Zane Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, Chase Briscoe, Riley Herbst and Justin Haley.

Throughout the 150-lap race, there were four cautions for 24 laps.

Reddick leads Christopher Bell in the standings by 24 points.

The NASCAR Xfintiy Series will visit Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, April 27 for the MoneyLion 300. Live coverage of the race will broadcast on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) and the Motor Racing Network (MRN) at 1 p.m. ET.
