After successful K&N Pro Series career Ronnie Bassett Jr. set to make his first Xfinity Series start driving for DGM Racing at ISM Raceway on Saturday.

Although this will be his first start in a national series, Bassett has the benefit of driving for a team owned by veteran car owner and former driver Mario Gosselin who brings a lot of experience to the team.

“We look forward to having Ronnie drive the No. 90 Bassett Gutters and More Chevrolet for us this weekend,” said Gosselin. “We feel we have a car that will allow him to learn and make laps during the race as he progresses in his career and we’re happy to have him in the seat.”

Bassett has previously enjoyed success in the K&N Pro Series with a win and finishing with 36 top-10s in 69 starts.

Bassett will be the fourth driver in the No. 90 car this season joining Canadians Donald Theetge and Alex Labbe who started at Las Vegas and Atlanta, respectively.

Caesar Bacarella drove the No. 90 Chevrolet at Daytona in the season opener.

Josh Williams has started all three races in the other DGM Racing car and is also scheduled to compete this weekend at ISM Raceway.
