The prestigious NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race was the first event held underneath the LED lights at Martinsville Speedway. The final 25 laps of the race went caution free, which meant there was an all-out fight for the win at the front of the pack. Peters took home the $25,000 purse, as well as an extra $10,000 for winning the Virginia Triple Crown championship. Finishing second on Saturday night was Lee Pulliam, followed by Peyton Sellers, Jake Crum and Trevor Noles.
Hunter Thomas and Sarah Sedwick were at the track covering the historical event. Check out the photos that they captured throughout the night in the ValleyStar Credit Union 300.
