Richmond’s Black’s Tire 250 Presented By BTS Rewards Postponed to Saturday

RICHMOND, Va. – The highly anticipated NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Black’s Tire 250 presented by BTS Rewards at Richmond Raceway has been postponed to Saturday at 12 p.m., due to inclement weather.

On Saturday, the Black’s Tire 250 presented by BTS Rewards will broadcast live on FS2, and it’ll kick off a doubleheader day as the NASCAR Cup Series will take to the track at 7 p.m. with the Cook Out 400 airing live on USA.

Parking lots and gates will open at 10 a.m. for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, and grandstands and FanGround gates will open at 2 p.m.

With just two races to go for The Chase, NASCAR’s postseason, short track action in Virginia is bound to have sparks fly as drivers fight for their championship hopes. Daniel Hemric sits in ninth, 14 points to the good. Stewart Friesen currently sits on the bubble, with Tyler Ankrum only eight points behind. Jake Garcia is in 12th in 32 points back.

New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen and Kaden Honeycutt will bring the field down to the green flag. The pole is Gisbergen’s first in the series. Chandler Smith and Grant Enfinger will lineup on the second row.
