RECAP/PHOTOS: 2026 URW Race Day King of the Modifieds And Late Models At South Boston Speedway

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – South Boston Speedway hosted the SMART Tour Modifieds, Hitachi Energy Late Model Stock Car Division and Southern Ground Pounds on Saturday for URW Race Day.

Lee Pulliam returned to Victory Lane at South Boston Speedway for the first time since September 2019 after winning the 100-lap Hitachi Energy Late Model feature. The Virginia native took over the lead on a restart with 23 laps to go and never looked back.

Conner Weddell finished runner-up, followed by polesitter Trevor Ward, Landon Pembelton and Joshua Oakley.

In the SMART Tour Modified feature, it was Ron Silk taking the checkered flag and being crowned the King of Modifieds. He drove to the front of the pack with 42 laps to go and held on to the top spot despite several restarts.

Stephen Kopcik finished second. Former NASCAR Cup Series star, Ryan Newman finished third. Rounding out the top-five was Jack Baldwin and former NASCAR Cup Series driver, Elliott Sadler.
