RECAP/PHOTOS: 2026 zMAX CARS Tour At Southern National Motorsports Park

LUCAMA, NC – Caden Kvapil and Mason Walters kicked off the 2026 zMAX CARS Tour season with a win at Southern National Motorsports Park.

Kvapil battled his way from 31st to Victory Lane zMAX CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour Folsom Fence Supply 125 on Saturday.

Throughout the season-opener in North Carolina, the Kvapil methodically worked his way through the field and into the lead position. The JR Motorsports driver passed Lee Pulliam for the top spot and then survived a late-race battle with Doug Barnes Jr.

The win marked the third for Kvapil in the zMAX CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour. Following the win, Barnes Jr. approached Kvapil, who was still in his car and confronted him before the two drivers were separated.

Pulliam finished runner-up, followed by Barnes. Chad McCumbee and Carson Loftin finished fourth and fifth respectively. Rounding out the top-10 was Jared Fryar, Clay Jones, Landon S. Huffman, Treyten Lapcevich and Carson Brown.

In the CARS Pro Late Model Tour, it was Walters holding off Keelan Harvick. Walters passed Harvick with just four laps to go as he went on to claim his first win the series in only his fourth start. Walters is piloting the No. 6 car that won last year’s championship.

Harvick held on to finish second, followed by London McKenzie, Max Reaves and Lapcevich. Rounding out the top-10 was Case James, Even McKnight, Carson Ware, Cole Robie and Jayden Johnson.
