DARLINGTON, S.C. – Darlington Raceway announced today that the South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) will return as the entitlement partner for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race during the track’s upcoming Spring Race Weekend.

The Buckle Up South Carolina 200 will take place under the lights on Friday, March 20, the first race of the tripleheader weekend at “The Track Too Tough To Tame.”

“Having the South Carolina Department of Public Safety return for the spring race weekend incredibly meaningful for Darlington Raceway and our fans,” said Josh Harris, President of Darlington Raceway. “Their continued support underscores the importance of safety on and off the track, and we’re proud to work alongside an organization that plays such a vital role in keeping our communities and race fans safe.”

The partnership continues a shared commitment between Darlington Raceway and SCDPS to promote road responsibility across South Carolina. Through this partnership, SCDPS will continue to highlight initiatives focused on safe driving, highway awareness, and fan education throughout race week.

“There is tremendous value in partnering with Darlington Raceway, NASCAR, and Ross Chastain to carry life-saving messages beyond traditional channels and into communities across our state,” said SCDPS Director Robert G. Woods IV. “These continued partnerships allow us to meet people where they are, using a platform they trust and enjoy, and to reinforce the importance of safe, responsible driving. When we align our mission with organizations that share a strong commitment to public safety, we expand our reach, strengthen awareness, and ultimately move closer to our goal of protecting lives on South Carolina’s roadways.”

The Buckle Up South Carolina 200 will feature drivers in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series going head-to-head as they tackle the Lady in Black on Friday, March 20, at 7:30 p.m. Then, the action continues with the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday, March 21, at 5:30 p.m.
