RURAL RETREAT, Va. – On Friday, April 3, Wythe Raceway in Virginia hosted the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Presented by Coltman Farms Racing and Fueled by Sunoco, featuring Super Late Models, 602 Modifieds, Super Streets, Pro Minis, UCARs, KCARs, Vintage Sportsmans and Interceptors.
Hudson O’Neal, from Martinsville, Indiana outran South Carolina’s Chris Madden and North Carolina’s Matthew Nance in the Super Late Model feature for the $10,053 purse. Benji Hicks and Kennie Compton rounded out the top-five.
Morgan Winderner of Chilhowie, Virginia prevailed in the 602 Modified feature. He topped JR Davis, Damien Sage, Hunter Buchanon and Joey Johnson.
Randy Taylor, also from Chilhowie, won in Super Streets. Jerry Dillow finished runner-up, followed by Keith Griffitts, Calan Parks and Russell Daniel.
Billy Cline of Rural Retreat, Virginia topped the field to win in Pro Minis. Aaron Bowes, Derek Farris, Eli Richardson and pole-sitter Justin Farris rounded out the top-five.
In UCAR, it was local Will Hostetler outrunning Matthew Worrell to win. Danny Tate finished third, while Ricky Ward and Daniel Wright finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Gracie Burkett won the KCAR feature.
Wytheville, Virginia’s Terry Davis took the checkered flag in Vintage Sportsman. Keith Griffitts, Cody Moore, Jimmy Cox and Russell Daniel rounded out the top-five.
Local driver, Steven Quillen topped the field in the Interceptor feature. Completing the top-five was Caroline King, Quillen Decklin, Cody Davis and Atticus King.
Wythe Raceway will be back in action on Saturday, April 11 for the Spring Spectacular. Sport Modifieds, Super Streets, Pro Minis, UCARs, KCARs and Interceptors are slated to take to the track.
