Tyler Reddick Rockets To Goodyear 400 Pole

DARLINGTON, SC – Tyler Reddick rocketed to the pole for Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, despite pounding the wall exiting Turn 4.

On Saturday in Busch Pole Qualifying, Reddick ran a scorching lap that was 0.124 seconds faster than second and 0.247 seconds faster than third. During his qualifying run, he even nailed the wall exiting Turn 4, but that didn’t slow him down enough, and Reddick will start on the pole for the second time at Darlington Raceway and for the 13th time of his NASCAR Cup Series career.

“Yeah, when you can qualify like this at a place like Darlington,” Reddick said. “I’ve been able to do it a few times over the years here where I kind of just get through the start, get up front, kind of set sail, have fun, learn, explore, and then just dread catching the back of the field (laughter). But yeah, in the past, you know, I think it was 2024. We did this in a similar fashion here and we let a lot of laps. Scored a lot of stage points and that’s what we need to do. So, in my experience, being able to start up front, if we can get off turn four that first lap in the lead, we should be in really good shape to start.”

His 23XI Racing teammate, Bubba Wallace also ran a fast lap of 29.196 seconds and will start alongside of in second on the front row.

Hendrick Motorsports’ Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson will start third and fourth respectively, followed by RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski fifth and Chris Buescher in sixth.

The Goodyear 400 will broadcast live on FS1 at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday.
