Bobby Watson Memorial Celebration coming up on September 21st at Carteret County Speedway

PELETIER, N.C. – Carteret County Speedway will pay tribute to the late Bobby Day Watson on Saturday, September 21st with the Bobby Watson Memorial Celebration presented by WITN-TV.

The Bobby Watson Memorial Celebration will feature a full card of racing with nine divisions set to battle under the lights.  The East Coast Flathead Fords will headline the night’s racing action with their throwback race honoring the earliest days of stock car racing.

The Limited Late Models will be in action, along with the Sportsman’s Wholesale Street Stocks, Battlefield Tire Pros Mini Stocks, INEX Legends, U-CARs and Champ Karts.  Additionally, the Coastal Carolina Mini Cups and Jr. Mini Cups will be in action.

The grand architect of Carteret County Speedway, Bobby Watson, will be honored during pre-race festivities.  Watson passed away last October.

Tickets are $15 for adults while kids 10 and under get in free.  Pre-race ceremonies start at 6pm on Saturday, September 21st and green flag racing gets underway at 7:15pm.
