LAS VEGAS – Tyler Reddick saved fuel to win the Rhino Pro Truck Outfitters 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the NASCAR Xfinity Series Regular Season on Saturday.

Reddick started fourth in the Richard Childress Racing No. 2 TAME the BEAST Chevrolet and led the final 30 laps en route to earning his fifth win of the 2019 season. When Christopher Bell who was leading at the time hit pit road with 30 laps to go, Reddick stayed out. Bell attempted to chase Reddick down, but in the end, he came up short.

“That was nerve racking to say the least,” Reddick said on the frontstretch at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “In the last three laps, I started losing fuel pressure. It was stumbling, so I didn’t think I was going to make it running the fence, but Christopher Bell had a really, unreal fast race car today. We were just able to come and get fuel and tires and just save a lot.”

Bell led a race high of 154 laps in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Rheem/Smurfit Kappa Toyota, but he finished in second 0.738 seconds behind Reddick who is the defending series champion. Bell will enter this year’s NASCAR Playoffs as the point leader thanks to six Regular Season wins.

“I got beat by seven-tenths of a second there,” Bell said. “At the end of the race, I was running hard when they told me he (Tyler Reddick) was going to try to make it. I don’t feel like I gave up very much at the end. At the beginning of the run, I definitely wasn’t running as hard as I could have once they told me the 98 (Chase Briscoe) sped on pit road. Was it seven-tenths over 30 laps or whatever it was, maybe. But, we got beat.”

Brandon Jones, Cole Custer and Justin Allgaier rounded out the top-five. Completing the top-10 was Noah Gragson, Gray Gaulding, John Hunter Nemechek, Riley Herbst and Elliott Sadler.

Next weekend, the NASCAR Playoffs will get underway. Bell leads the standings with 2055 points, followed by Custer (-11), Reddick (-11), Austin Cindric (-38), Chase Briscoe (-43), Allgaier (-43), Michael Annett (-46), Gragson (-50), Jones (-51), Justin Haley (-52), Ryan Sieg (-54) and Nemechek (-55).

The GoBowling 250 will be held on Friday, September 20 at Richmond Raceway. Live coverage will broadcast on the NBC Sport Network (NBCSN) and the Motor Racing Network (MRN) at 7:30 p.m. ET.
