SPARTA, Ky. – Cole Custer dominated the Alsco 300 on Friday at Kentucky Speedway to capture his fifth win of the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

All but the top-five finished on the lead lap on Friday night as Custer led a race high of 88 laps in his Stewart-Haas Racing No. 00 Haas Automation Ford. The victory marked the seventh of his career in the series.

“It is pretty unbelievable to win once the last two years and then this year we have won five,” Custer said. “It is a testament to our team and the guys made great adjustments throughout the night and knew exactly how the track was going to change. I just can’t thank them enough. Gene Haas, Tony Stewart, Ford Performance, it is just unbelievable.”

Custer’s closest challenger throughout the race was Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell who led on two occasions for 72 laps. Bell finished in second, 1.651 seconds behind Custer. The runner-up finish marks Custer’s third top-five finish in the past four races.

“We were really good early and my car felt really good late, we just got beat,” Bell said. “Probably just got a little bit too comfortable there, a little bit too tight. We just have to work on a couple things and we’ll come back and get this Ruud Supra in victory lane.”

Tyler Reddick, Michael Annett and Chase Briscoe rounded out the top-five. Noah Gragson finished sixth, followed by Justin Allgaier, Ryan Truex, Ryan Sieg and Justin Haley.

There were five cautions for 24 laps, but no accidents included multi-cars.

Reddick leads the series standings by 67 points over Bell.

On Saturday, July 20, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will visit New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the ROXOR 200. Live coverage will broadcast at 4 p.m. ET on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) and the Performance Racing Network (PRN).
