DOVER, Del. – Johnny Sauter held off Brett Moffitt in the closing laps of Friday’s JEGS 200 to win at Dover International Speedway.

Sauter now has 24 career wins in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, and he has won three straight at the Monster Mile. On Friday, Sauter, driver of the ThorSport Racing No. 13 Tenda Heal Ford capitalized on a late restart with just five laps to go. Moffitt attempted to chase Sauter down, but he wasn’t able to challenge for the win on the final lap.

“Well, when you get kicked to the curb, you feel like you’ve got a lot to prove,” Sauter said in Victory Lane.

Sauter continued and said, “A couple of months ago, I didn’t know if I’d be racing. To get three in a row here is extra special.”

Moffitt did hold on to finish second after winning Stage 1 and leading a race high of 81 laps in the No. 24 ISM Connect Chevrolet.

Harrison Burton finished third. Grant Enfinger and Matt Crafton rounded out the top-5. Completing the top-10 were Ben Rhodes, Austin Hill, Derek Kraus, Tyler Ankrum and Ross Chastain.

There were six cautions for 35 laps throughout the 200-lap race.

The largest crash of the afternoon came out on lap 161, when Sheldon Creed spun exiting Turn 2. As Creed spun down the track on the backstretch, he made heavy contact with Todd Gilliland. Ankrum was involved as well. Creed had led 59 laps prior to the accident.

Enfinger leads Sauter by 4 points in the standings.

Up next on the schedule for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is the Digital Ally 250 at Kansas Speedway on Friday, May 10. Live coverage of the race will broadcast on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) and the Motor Racing Network (MRN) at 8:30 p.m. ET.
