Kurt Busch Announces That He Will Not Return To Stewart-Haas Racing In 2019
by Hunter Thomas December 2, 2018 0 commentsOn Sunday night, Kurt Busch announced that he will not be returning to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2019.
Busch, who is a Las Vegas native, has been competing for Stewart-Haas Racing since the 2014 season. While competing for the team, he won six races, 11 poles and captured 37 top-five and 90 top-10 finishes.
In 2018, Busch finished out the year seventh in the NASCAR Playoff standings. His only win of the season came at Bristol Motor Speedway in August.
The 2004 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion will be entering his 19th full-time season in 2019 if he finds a ride. Busch is rumored to be heading to Chip Ganassi Racing to take over the No. 1 Chevrolet, but nothing has been confirmed.
