Darlington High School has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students, and it’s located just over two miles from the track. The high school features more than 20 athletic teams for its students to compete in regionally.

“The donation from the Darlington Raceway is a great blessing to our Athletic Department,” said Darlington High School Athletics Director, Michael Jordan. “We are very blessed to have the Raceway as a member of the Darlington High School Team. We also received several cases of cups for our student-athletes.

“The community and the business partners that we have lending us their support is essential to our Athletic program reaching our goal of becoming one of the best Athletic programs in the state.”

Gatorade is an official partner of the 1.366-mile track that’s owned by the International Speedway Corporation (ISC). Most notably, Gatorade sponsors Victory Lane at the historic facility.

During the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500 and NASCAR Xfinity Series Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200 on Labor Day weekend, Darlington Raceway goes through a large amount of Gatorade products. This donation included products that weren’t used during the annual NASCAR race weekend.
