CONCORD, N.C. – Martin Truex Jr. won the Bank of America 500 on Sunday following a thrilling NASCAR Overtime finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The win, which was Truex Jr.’s sixth victory of the 2017 season, guarantees the Furniture Row Racing driver a spot in the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Playoffs. Truex Jr. had to survive two late-race restarts before taking the checkered flag on Sunday, but he was able to hold the field off and capture the victory. Chase Elliott finished second, and Kevin Harvick who led the most laps of the afternoon, crossed the finish line in third. Rounding out the top-five was Denny Hamlin and Jamie McMurray. Daniel Suarez finished sixth, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Blaney, Kasey Kahne and Kyle Larson.
