MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Myrtle Beach Speedway is proud to announce an action packed line-up of events for the premier entertainment destination in the Grand Strand. The schedule is highlighted by 16 racing events spanning nearly the entire calendar year. It has an additional six non-race events that will bring an additional 21 days of entertainment to fans from far and wide. The Myrtle Beach Amphitheater will again play host to many well-known musical acts throughout the year as well, which will be announced at a later date.

The racing kicks off with the first major race of the season, the IceBreaker on February 11th. The winner will be locked into the Myrtle Beach 400 and the Daytona 1 Beach Madness Dash for Cash if they register. The Fan Appreciation night on April 22nd will mark the first eliminations for the Beach Madness Tournament. Bell and Bell night June 3rd marks the second eliminations for the Beach Madness Tournament. July 8th is the Sun Fun 101 which is a second lock-in race for the Myrtle Beach 400 and the Daytona 1Beach Madness Dash for Cash. Back to School night August 22nd is the final round of eliminations for the Beach Madness tournament. September 9th is the Night of Champions, crowning the Speedway’s track champions. September 16th will be the always popular CARS Tour race. The racing season will wrap up with the granddaddy of them all, the Myrtle Beach 400 November 18th.

Non-racing events will include two visits by the NOPI Nationals, March 3-5 and July 28-30. Monster Jam is back and has added a third day this year, June 15-17. Mustang Day will be July 19th . A new event has been added for 2017, the Nitro Circus will be rolling into town on August 4th. Finally the wildly popular Horry County Fair will highlight the schedule again this year with 10 fun-filled family oriented days from April 7th through the 16th.

About Myrtle Beach Speedway – The Myrtle Beach Speedway, originally named Rambi Raceway, was built in 1958 and is located 455 Hospitality Lane, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The speedway is a semi-banked asphalt oval track that is 0.538 mile in length.The NASCAR Cup series competed at the Speedway from 1958 through 1965. The NASCAR Busch Series (now the Xfinity Series) raced at Myrtle Beach Speedway from 1988 to 2000. Currently the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race on Saturday nights from late February through November. The track also runs other racing classes including Late Model Charger, Super Trucks and Mini Stocks. The speedway is home of the Myrtle Beach 400, IceBreaker 200, NASCAR Racing Experience, Monster Jam, Nitro Circus, NOPI Nationals and Horry County Fair.
