BRISTOL, Tenn. – After multiple rain cells hit Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race has been postponed to Sunday afternoon.

Carl Edwards started on the pole, but he was quickly overtaken by his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Denny Hamlin. Chase Elliott got around Hamlin’s No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota Camry for the race lead, but he was then passed by Kyle Busch. The rain returned, red flagging the race on lap 38. The red flag was displayed for 1 hour, 24 minutes and 4 seconds.

The track was dried and 10 laps were run under the caution; however, on lap 48, another rain cell hit the track, and the race was called just before 11:30 p.m. ET. After a relentless effort to get the race in, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race will now be broadcast live on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. on CNBC and the Performance Racing Network (PRN).

The top-10 running order at the time of the postponement had Kyle Busch as the leader, followed by Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Martin Truex Jr., Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano and Kyle Larson.
