Venturini Motorsports Makes Major Additions to ARCA Lineupby Kyle Pokrefky April 1, 2016 0 comments
Venturini Motorsports announced on Friday several key additions to their 2016 driver lineup in the ARCA Racing Series.
The team revealed that drivers Nicole Behar, Christopher Bell and Tanner Thorson have signed on for partial schedules in the Toledo, Ohio-based series.
Bell, a driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, will compete for the team at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Chicagoland Speedway, July’s race at Pocono Raceway and in both races at Salem Speedway.
Behar, a member of the 2015 NASCAR Next class, will make a one-off start with the team at Madison International Speedway in June.
Thorson, an open-wheeled midget driver for Keith Kunz Motorsports, will compete in the first dirt race of the ARCA season at Illinois State Fairgrounds in August.
The announcement by the Venturini organization comes just days after announcing that NASCAR Whelen All-American Series standout Landon Huffman will race in a one-off start at Berlin Raceway in early-August.
Venturini Motorsports currently fields a full-time effort for ARCA veteran Tom Hessert and is slated to field a car for 18-year-old Dalton Sargeant in 15 races this season.
Also scheduled to make an additional start for the team is last year’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion and current Truck Series rookie, William Byron.
The team has three cars entered for next week’s Music City 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville with Hessert, Christian Eckes and Cole Williams listed for entry.
