Mason Mitchell Motorsports has announced that X-1R Pro Cup driver Brady Boswell will race for the team in next weekend’s Music City 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.
Boswell, 18, will pilot the team’s No. 98 Chevrolet next week in what will also serve as his debut in the ARCA Racing Series.
In 23 combined starts in the X-1R Pro Cup (now CARS Tour) series in 2013 and 2014, Boswell has 12 top-fives and 21 top-10s, finishing in the top-five in the points standings in both seasons.
“I am very excited to take the next step in my career,” Boswell stated. “My dream of making it to NASCAR is now one step closer. This will be a great step that will give me the opportunities to showcase my talent and allow me to learn new things that will be valuable in my career in the future.”
“I am honored to have partnered up with MMM for my ARCA debut. When you partner up with a team it is very important that the team you choose is a competitor in the series. I feel that they have great experience within the team and put a lot of time into achieving success.”
Improvements made to the team’s short track program over the course of the offseason has team owner Mason Mitchell feeling confident of Boswell’s chances at Nashville.
With the Watkinsville, Ga. driving his team’s flagship car next weekend, Mitchell believes the team can improve on its third-place finish with Austin Wayne Self at the Fairgrounds from one year ago.
“I feel honored to get the opportunity to work with Brady at Nashville,” Mitchell stated. “He is a great talent and I believe this will be a great opportunity for us as a team and him as a driver.
“Our short track program has grown over the offseason and I believe we can improve upon the third place finish here from one year ago.”
