AAA Mid-Atlantic Inks Sponsorship Deal with Richard Childress Racingby Kyle Pokrefky March 6, 2016 0 comments
AAA Mid-Atlantic has signed with Richard Childress Racing to serve as a sponsor for its Sprint Cup and XFINITY Series operations this race season.
The sponsor will serve as Sprint Cup driver Austin Dillon’s primary sponsor for select races in 2016, starting with Richmond International Raceway’s spring race on April 24th.
AAA Mid-Atlantic’s sponsorship of Dillon’s No. 3 Chevrolet SS will start prior to April’s Richmond date as they will sponsor the car full-time as an associate sponsor.
The sponsor will also adorn the hood of XFINITY rookie Brandon Jones’s ride for one race – Kentucky Speedway’s July date.
Dillon will be the second driver in the Sprint Cup garage to have AAA on his side as the sponsor will also continue their relationship with Team Penske’s Joey Logano in select races this year.
The sponsor will also continue their title sponsorship deals with Dover International Speedway’s spring date, sponsoring May 15th’s ‘AAA 400 Drive for Autism’ 400-lap race.
“We’re thrilled to partner with an iconic brand in AAA,” Richard Childress, chief executive officer of Richard Childress Racing, said. “Our RCR team members travel across the USA on a weekly basis and are constantly ‘on the go.’
“AAA offers countless benefits to travelers and is a leader in helping drivers get to where they need to go, so this feels like a natural fit between our organizations.”
“I look forward to representing an established, prestigious brand like AAA in the years to come and having the opportunity to further strengthen AAA’s equity within NASCAR and with our loyal fans,” Dillon added. “I’m proud to represent an organization with strong roots in motorsports and a commitment to serving many NASCAR fans with the services they provide.”
