NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Todd Gilliland, driver of the No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota led 91 laps on Sunday night and won the Jet Tools 150 at New Smyrna Speedway.

The teenager started on the pole and led on two different occasions. With the win, the third-generation driver continues to have a perfect record in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. He won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season closer at Phoenix International Raceway last year, and he followed that win up with a victory in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season opener this past weekend.

Throughout the night, the event only saw four cautions. Among the three different leaders, there were four lead changes during the 150-lap race.

Although Gilliland started on the on the 21 Means 21 Pole on Sunday, it was Spencer Davis leading the first 15 laps of the event before being overtaken by Kaz Grala. Gilliland then jumped ahead of the pack once again and dominated from lap 25 to lap 114. As the race neared its halfway point, it was Spencer Davis back in front; however, on the final lap, it was Gilliland who crossed the finish line first to win the Jet Tools 150.

Even though the race had reached its conclusion, competitors continued to race around the 0.48-mile oval due to a delay in the proper flag display. Ronnie Bassett Jr. from Winston-Salem, North Carolina beat the field to the line, but since the race had gone past its advertised distance, NASCAR reverted back to the finishing order on the completion of lap 150.

Finishing in second just behind Gilliland was Spencer Davis. Ronnie Bassett Jr. was scored third, followed by Kyle Benjamin and Justin Haley. Rounding out the top-10 was Noah Gragson, Ryan Preece, Tyler Dippel, Riley Herbst and Dominique Van Wieringen.

If you missed the action on Sunday, the Jet Tools 150 will be telecast on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) on Thursday, February 25 at 11:30 p.m. ET

Up next on the schedule for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is the inaugural Mobile 150 at Mobile International Speedway on Saturday, March 12.
