2015 General Tire Superspeedway Challenge Series winner Matt Kurzejewski has landed a full-time ride in the ARCA Racing Series for 2016 with Ken Schrader Racing.
Kurzejewski, 24, will pilot KSR’s No. 52 entry for the entirety of this year’s 20-race schedule and will do so with backing from both Menards and Ansell.
The Mansfield, Pa. native heads to the KSR operation with 14 ARCA starts under his belt with three top-fives and 10 top-10s to his credit.
In 13 of his 14 starts, Kurzejewski competed with his family-owned team, K-Automotive.
“To have the opportunity to represent globally recognized companies such as Menards and Ansell is a dream that each aspiring race driver devotes a great deal of effort toward,” said Kurzejewski. “It truly is an honor to drive the No. 52 for Ken Schrader Racing in the ARCA Racing Series with both Menards’ and Ansell’s support.
“Words do not express my excitement to contend for the 2016 ARCA title with KSR, Menards and Ansell.”
Ken Schrader, owner of the ARCA Racing Series’s No. 52 entry, not only welcomes the opportunity to work with Kurzejewski, but he also is excited to start his new relationship with Menards and Ansell.
“I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled for the opportunity to represent Ansell and Menards,” Schrader said. “Both have been great supporters of the ARCA (Racing) Series, and the chance to run a full schedule with their support is wonderful.
“We’re looking forward to racing for the championship with Matt Kurzejewski, Ansell and Menards.”
KSR had a solid 2015 in the ARCA Racing Series with two victories being delivered to the team by Schrader (Salem in April) and Ross Kenseth (Michigan.)
The No. 52 entry finished the 2015 season seventh in the owners standings with the help of Schrader, Kenseth, Clay Campbell and Matt Tifft taking turns behind the wheel.
