Matt Crafton on Pole for Ford EcoBoost 200

Matt Crafton will lead the field to green for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’s season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway tonight after taking the pole for the Ford EcoBoost 200.

Crafton laid down a lap of 32.299 seconds to claim his 11th career Keystone Light Pole Award and his fourth of the season.

Joining the series veteran on the front row for the start will be John Hunter Nemechek, who was the fastest driver in the first of two qualifying rounds held at Homestead-Miami.

Championship contenders Tyler Reddick and Erik Jones will respectively start in the fourth and fifth positions while Ben Kennedy, Daniel Suarez, Daniel Hemric, Spencer Gallagher, Christopher Bell and Johnny Sauter respectively qualified in positions three, six, seven, eight, nine and ten.

Other notable qualifiers were Timothy Peters in 12th, John Wes Townley in 13th, Rico Abreu in 14th, Austin Theriault in 18th, Jesse Little in 19th, Kyle Weatherman in 21st and David Levine in 22nd.

With 36 trucks entered for qualifying, four were sent packing following the completion of Q1’s single-truck qualifying runs.

The four drivers to depart early from Homestead-Miami were Norm Benning, Ross Kenseth, Todd Peck and Bobby Pierce.
