Daniel Hemric Fastest in Final Truck Practice of 2015

Daniel Hemric led the way in the lone practice session for the Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a lap of 31.970 seconds set in Friday morning’s 145-minute session.

Hemric’s fast lap was 16 thousandths of a second faster than second-place driver and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship contender Tyler Reddick, who completed a lap of 31.986 seconds.

Fellow rookier Spencer Gallagher finished third on the speed chart with a circuit of 32.063 seconds as Matt Crafton was fourth with a lap of 32.248 seconds.

Championship leader Erik Jones was fifth on the speed chart with a lap of 32.249 seconds.

John Hunter Nemechek, Christopher Bell, Timothy Peters, Ben Kennedy and David Gilliland completed the top-10 of the session’s standings.

Over a 10-lap run, it was Jones that was fastest with an average speed of 161.716 miles per hour over 10 consecutive laps.

Series newcomer and ARCA Rookie of the Year Kyle Weatherman completed the most laps of the session with 57 while Todd Peck completed the fewest with 13 to his credit.

Qualifying is up next for the Camping World Truck Series field and will take place at 4:10 p.m ET.
