Tommy Johnson Jr., Clay Millican Top Friday’s Second Qualifying Session At zMAX Dragway

CONCORD, NC – Friday marked the first of day of the 2015 NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway. Tommy Johnson Jr. topped the second Funny Car qualifying session with a run of 3.971 seconds at 312.42 mph. In Top Fuel, it was Clay Millican winning the second qualifying session with a run of 3.758 seconds at 318.77 mph.

The NHRA Carolina Nationals mark the first of six events included in the Countdown to the Championship. Saturday’s schedule will include the 3rd and 4th qualifying sessions, followed by eliminations on Sunday.
