Kyle Larson Fastest in Lone American Ethanol 225 Practice

JOLIET, Ill. — Making his first Camping World Truck Series start of the year, Kyle Larson put his No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet at the top of the leaderboard in the lone practice session for the American Ethanol e15 225 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Turning in a lap of 30.848 seconds, Larson’s lap proved to be 15 thousandths of a second quicker than second-place driver Matt Crafton’s lap of 30.863 seconds.

Crafton’s ThorSport Racing teammate, Johnny Sauter, was third on the speed chart with a lap of 30.870 seconds while drivers Tyler Reddick, Timothy Peters, Daniel Suarez, Cameron Hayley, Erik Jones, Ben Kennedy and Brandon Jones completed the top-10 of the session’s standings.

Over a 10-lap run, Crafton proved to be fastest over Larson with a respective speed of 171.336 miles per hour compared to Larson’s 170.419 seconds.

Sauter ran the most laps of the session with 47 circuits completed while B.J. McLeod and Norm Benning each completed the fewest laps of the session with five.

Up next on the schedule for the Camping World Truck Series is qualifying, which is set for a 3:35 p.m CT start time.
