Brad Keselowski Fastest In Final Practice At Darlington Raceway

DARLINGTON, SC – Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski topped the speed chart in final practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on Friday afternoon at Darlington Raceway.

Keselowski’s chart topping run was a 27.960 second lap at 175.880 mph. Greg Biffle who paced opening practice finished out the final session in second. Kurt Busch was third, followed by Paul Menard and Austin Dillon.

Rounding out the top-10 was David Ragan, Carl Edwards, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Danica Patrick and Martin Truex Jr.

Most notably throughout the session, race favorite, Kyle Busch slammed the outside wall, and the team was forced to unload the backup car. Also, just before the session completed, defending Bojangles’ Southern 500 winner, Kevin Harvick slapped the outside.

Harvick had the best 10 consecutive lap average with an average speed of 170.767 mph. Tony Stewart was second with an average speed of 169.660 mph, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top-three with an average speed of 169.569 mph.

Up next for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is Coors Light Pole Qualifying that’ll broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) at 1:45 p.m. ET, Saturday morning.
