DARLINGTON, SC – On Tuesday at Darlington Raceway, Roush Fenway Racing’s Ricky Stenhouse Jr. unveiled a throwback scheme for this year’s running of the Bojangles’ Southern 500. The No. 17 Cargill Ford Fusion honors Spartanburg, South Carolina’s David Pearson, who has 10 wins at the raceway, more than any other driver in history.

“David Pearson is not only an icon in our sport, he is one of the greatest racers of all time,” said Stenhouse Jr.  “He knew how to save his car for when it counted and that’s why he had over 100 wins.  From the time I thought this paint scheme might be a possibility, I have been counting the days to get that car on the track at Darlington.  I only hope I do it justice.”

Coverage for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 will broadcast live on NBC and the Motor Racing Network (MRN) at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 6. Tickets are still available for the prestigious race weekend, so visit and purchase your’s now.
