Matt Crafton Secures Careers for Veterans 200 Pole

BROOKLYN, Mich. — Matt Crafton scored his eighth career Keystone Light Pole Award after taking the top spot on the scoring pylon in qualifying for today’s Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Crafton completed a lap of 39.024 seconds to grab his first official pole since the 2012 season.

Rounding out the top-10 for today’s starting grid are Daniel Hemric, Austin Dillon, Ben Kennedy, Timothy Peters, Cameron Hayley, Erik Jones, John Wes Townley, Johnny Sauter and Kyle Busch.

Tyler Reddick, the current points leader, was scored 11th-fastest with his lap.

With 33 drivers still entered for the Careers for Veterans 200 entering qualifying, Timothy Viens was the only driver sent packing from Michigan following the first of two rounds of single-truck runs.

The Careers for Veterans 200 will take place at 1:00 p.m ET with television and radio coverage being provided by FOX Sports 1 and MRN.
