LOUDON, N.H. — The race to the Chase continues with today’s 5 Hour Energy 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway – the first of two visits to the one-mile oval in New England for the Sprint Cup Series this year.
Ahead of a what could be considered a preview of the action to be seen in the Fall’s Chase race at the track, here’s this week’s edition of ‘By the Numbers.’
1 – Number of times the pole-sitter for the race went on the win the 5 Hour Energy 301.
3 – Number of wins at New Hampshire Motor Speedway five different drivers have, making them the winningest drivers at the track – Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.
8.1 – Average number of cautions in the last 10 5 Hour Energy 301s.
