BROOKLYN, Mich. — Frank Kimmel’s quest for his first ARCA Racing Series victory in over a year received some help from mother nature on Friday morning as rain cancelled qualifying for today’s Corrigan Oil 200, placing the 10-time ARCA champion on the pole for the race.

As a result of the qualifying rainout, the 24-driver grid for the 100-lap race was set by Thursday practice speeds, placing Kimmel P1 on the starting grid.

Ross Kenseth, Will Kimmel, Blake Jones, Tom Hessert, Grant Enfinger, Austin Wayne Self, Josh Williams, Matt Kurzejewski and Cody Coughlin will round out the top-10 of the starting grid.

A handful of cars were able to take to the track before the red flag was displayed – including Kimmel – who put his No. 25 Ansell-Menards Toyota on the top of the scoring pylon before the plug was pulled on time trials.

The Corrigan Oil 200 is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m ET and will be broadcast on television at FOX Sports 2.
