Darrell Wallace Jr., Ty Dillon Lead The Way In Thursday’s Practice At Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. – Darrell Wallace Jr. set the fastest lap in first practice for the NASCAR XFINITY Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday, and Ty Dillon clocked the fastest lap in final practice.

First Practice

Darrell Wallace Jr.’s fastest lap was 29.911 seconds at 180.536 mph. Austin Dillon was second, followed by Brian Scott. Coming off a win at Iowa Speedway, Chris Buescher clocked the fourth fastest lap on Thursday. Erik Jones rounded out the top-five.

Final Practice

After running the 10th fastest lap in first practice, Ty Dillon followed his effort up with the fastest lap in final practice. His chart topping lap was 29.823 seconds at 181.068 mph. Darrell Wallace was second, followed by Brendan Gaughan, Austin Dillon and Ryan Blaney rounding out the top-five.

Austin Dillon had the best 10 consecutive lap average with an average speed of 177.477 mph. Kasey Kahne was second with an average speed of 176.829 mph, and Darrell Wallace Jr. rounded out the top-three with an average speed of 176.341 mph.

There will be no track action tomorrow. Coors Light Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR XFINITY Series is set to air on FOX Sports 1 at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday morning. The Hisense 300 will be live on FOX and the Performance Racing Network (PRN) at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
