Kyle Benjamin, Dalton Sargeant Lead The Way In NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Practice At Greenville-Pickens Speedway

EASLEY, SC – Kyle Benjamin, an Easley native topped speed chart during the first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East practice session on Saturday at Greenville-Pickens Speedway, followed by Dalton Sargeant pacing final practice.

First Practice

Coming off a fifth place finish at New Smyrna, Kyle Benjamin unloaded at Greenville-Pickens Speedway and topped first practice with a lap of 21.170 seconds at 85.026 mph.

Making only his second start in the series, Rico Abreu finished out the session in second. Abreu finished 17th in the season opener at New Smyrna.
William Byron was third fastest, followed by Austin Hill who’s going for his fourth NASCAR K&N Pro Series victory in a row. He’s also the defending winner of the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150.

Daniel Hemric rounded out the top-five. He’s making his first start in the series this weekend in the No. 20 California Clean Power Chevrolet.

Final Practice

Dalton Sargeant paced final practice with a 21.199 second lap at 84.910 mph. Sargeant had a strong second place finish during the season opener at New Smyrna.

Gray Gaulding who’s coming off a third place finish at New Smyrna was second fastest, followed by rookie, JJ Haley. Scott Heckert was fourth, and Ben Kennedy Racing’s Kaz Grala rounded out the top-five.

The Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 will start at 8 p.m. ET tonight at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. A tape delayed broadcast of the race will air on Tuesday, April 7 on NBCSN.
