Kasey Kahne And Kurt Busch Pace Saturday’s Practice At Bristol Motor Speedway

BRISTOL, Tenn. – On Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway, Kasey Kahne clocked the fastest lap in second practice, and Kurt Busch posted the fastest lap during final practice.

First Practice

Kasey Kahne backed his opening practice effort up with the fastest lap in during the second session on Saturday morning. His chart topping lap was 15.129 seconds at 126.829 mph. Kevin Harvick was only 12th fastest in first practice, but he jumped up to second on Friday. Joey Logano was third, followed by Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin.

Kevin Harvick clocked the best 10 consecutive lap average throughout the session. His average speed was 125.725 mph. His Stewart-Haas Racing teammate, Kurt Busch was second with an average speed of 125.158 mph. Paul Menard was third with an average speed of 125.121 mph.

A couple of drivers found trouble throughout the session. Tony Stewart finished out the session 24th, but he obtained heavy damage on the right rear after hitting the outside wall. Jimmie Johnson was 10th fastest, and he also found the wall. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ran into the back of Carl Edwards. Josh Wise, 41st fastest hit the wall, as well.

Final Practice:

Kurt Busch paced finial practice on Saturday with a lap of 15.043 seconds at 127.554 mph. Kasey Kahne was second quickest after topping the speed chart during first and second practice. David Ragan finished out the session in third. Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski were fourth and fifth respectively.

Kevin Harvick had the best 10 consecutive lap average with an average speed of 125.934 mph. Kasey Kahne was second with an average speed of 125.396 mph, and Joey Logano rounded out the top-three with an average speed of 125.273 mph.
